fluker's freeze-dried crickets

kapeed Oct 15, 2004 09:25 PM

I was wondering if someone has any experience feeding dragons freeze-dried crickets. I tried giving my dragon Fluker's Brand crickets and he seemed to like them. I am not sure though about the dangers of doing this, considering his water intake will be radically lowered as a result. However, if this is compensated for, do freeze-dried crickets have any other health dangers I should be aware of such as increased risk of impaction? This would greatly simplify my life, but I don't want to do that at the expense of my dragon's health.

If you're gonna do the canned crickets thing I suggest going with ZOO MED'S CAN O CRICKETS. They have a high moisture content(around 70-75%) and they're cooked in the can which softens the exoskeleton. I know my Dragons love them.
