Hello Will,

Nice lizards, I was wondering if you ever seen any Barefoot Geckos. I've looked at herp lists at Nat'l and State Parks on the internet and I don't see it. I did see it in a book with lizard drawings at Mohave Nat'l Preserve visitor's center, and my husband identified it as a lizard he saw twice in the southwest before he married me.

Or visit "The Other Site" (email me if interested) for info.

They can be found in Anza-Borrego in CA, but I personally haven't seen them (not that I was looking in the right spot anyway; I hear they're WAY up in the canyons, far off the beaten path).

I never saw a barefoot gecko and looked for them on several occasions. They extremely hard to locate in the US.
I've read some scientific articles on them and the temps have to be just right. I think the best chance of seeing them is when it's in the 60's just after it's rained. I've been told that they are more common in Baja Mexico.
