primebizzel28 Oct 16, 2004 12:21 AM

i currently have a anole in a 10gal terrarium. for my b-day in january my girlfriend wants to get me a african fattail. i am wondering since they dont clime at all if a 10 gal would be good for one. or if i should build a long tank for it. ive ben doing lots of research but seems like every site says something differnt. and is it true they tame real nice? any help is appricated.

a 10 gallon is perfect for a single gecko. just do your research for temp, lighting, hides and such. and yeah, they are fairly tame, nothing like an anole. i had 2 anoles before i got my leo, and i much prefer the leo. you can actually interact with it, as in do something with it besides making it freak out like anoles do.

Apparently fat tails are even more docile than leos. Leos are super nice, mine walk onto my hand willingly but will not sit still and enjoy taking plummets of death off of my hand/shoulder/etc

I've heard of fat tails who will just sit on their keepers hands much like beardies do.

good luck, i really want one too, just don't have the room nor the funds, their husbantry is very similar to leos so just look up caresheets and info about them.
