I am a field biologist at Queen's University in Canada and just returned from a five-week study on five-lined skinks (genetic analysis on peripheral populations). We sampled in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and Pennsylvania. We will complete the skinks' range next summer by visiting the Southern ranges (Texas, Florida, Carolinas, etc). Of course, me, being the general herp fanatic, will not hesitate to snap a quick pic of every herp I find...
It was a great time and I met some very friendly and hospitable Americans on the way.
