I am going to voice my opinion, even though people are probably going to be mad. Yes, I think there will be fighting. I mean, bigger animals usually dominate smaller onces, causing the smaller ones stress. I heard that about males, but I dunno about females. I guess the same thing applies. Please wait for more posts, so you can make sure you are doing the right thing. Good Luck...Jaz

The jacksons should be in screen cages anyway...you should have the 2 tanks still free....

chameleons get stressed out by glass tanks, i think it's cos' they can't grasp the concept of not being able to walk through what they can see through. the screen cages they can climb on, and cant see through the actual screen part, just the holes in it.

First off... there would be NO quarrantine if you did that. Meaning that you risk loosing all of your leos if the two new ones have some sort of disease or bacteria. They should be kept separate for at least 30 days. Although the standard is 90 days.

Second- Even if the leos are almost a similar size, there's still competition over food and hides that will stress them out. I have one female that can't be put with any other leos for a long period of time because she stresses out. Do you knowhow many males or females there are? 2 males can't be housed together. Stress in reptiles is a killer.

Third- Why aren't the chams in a chameleon cage? As far as I've always heard, they do VERY poorly in an aquarium. Although I may be wrong there. I've never owned one personally, that's what I've heard.

Please DO NOT house your Jacksons in an aquarium. Chameleons should be housed in an all screen cage because they need the ventillation that glass tank cannot provide. Also they will be stressed out in a glass enclosure from their own reflections. Another thing is chameleon should not be housed with another chameleon even they are both females. They are solitary animal. I keep furcifer cephalolepis and panthers. One of my female panther gets totally stressed out if she can see another chameleon female or male next to her cage.

the only reason the chams were in the tank is because they are about 1wk old and it was hard to keep them at 60-75% humidity and 80's. they have since moved back to work and the tank they were in cleaned out and my new leo's put in there. I have two females in each cage. these are almost big enough to breed while my albino's will have to wait till next year.
thanks for the info
