Caging...

Hey all,

I will be attending a show today, and am considering trading one of my BPs for a BRB. My question is do BRBs do well in rack enclosures? I can set up a seperate tank if necessary, but it would be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY easier to toss him/her in my rack. The dimensions are 35 x 16 x 6.

TIA,
Todd

Also, I may be interested in a rosy boa. Same question.

To answer your first question I think the rack would work fine depending on the size of your rainbow. For a baby a rubbermaid shoebox would be much better. For a full grown adult it would be a little on the small side but workable for a while. Keep the humidity levels high.

My other thought was if you can actually find someone who would trade a rainbow for a BP then you have truly scored. I do shows frequently and rainbows are great selling snakes I personally wouldn't think too many people would be willing to take that offer. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I did not expect an even trade and was prepared to make up the difference. I did not pursue a trade for him. There was no animal I saw that really called out to me in my price range. Once again, thanks for the info.

Todd
