Is it possible that a 4 month old beardie stops eating crickets and eats only salads?
He loves his salads.

He shouldn't be slowing down his eating at that time but you should try another feeder insect instead of just giving up offering crickets. Mine eats the canned variety (she is actually not very good at catching crix) and silk worms (which are great to raise and feed). I have also fed superworms and wax worms (as a treat, not a stable). I had no problems offering silk worms....Fiona (5 months) eats them instead of going after crix. I also have her on repcal pellets.

Yeah definitely go with silkworms, they are great and Homer loves to chow them down just as much as crickets.
As far as your beardie having trouble catching crix, this is what I do. First, put ~30 crix in a ziplock bag and put them in the refridgerator for a couple minutes. It skows them down even knocks them out. When they heat up in the tank they start moving again but are very easy to catch.
I also, put them in a clear glass cigar ashtray I bought at Target. They cant climb out and my beardie hops right in and chows them all down.
