It is, the dreaded "Red X in a box" Snake!!!!! lol

It is definitely a Coluber, a genus of fast-moving harmless snakes. I believe it is Coluber jugularis or Large Whip Snake. Another possibility is Coluber gemonensis or Balkan Whip Snake, though the pictures I've seen of this species don't quite look like your snake.

I agree with Mr. Hill, although we could both be wrong. Certainly does resembler Coluber, though. Zoolady: To see the pic, right click on the dreaded red x. Click on properties. Highlight the URL. Press Shift & c at the same time. Put your cursor up where the URL goes. Depress shift & v. Hit enter.
Thank me later.

Thanks for your help. Probably a young Coluber Caspius.

Isn't the Jugularis a Black Whip Snake?

Yes,jugularis is now the Black Whip Snake. I forgot the Greek populations had been reclassified as caspius. If we're going to be entirely technical, it would be a young Dolichophis caspius then, wouldn't it?

Oh poop. Well, I have to agree with Coluber jugularis.
A juvinile. It would turn black as it gets into adulthood.

The Greek populations (now classifed as caspius) turn a solid tan/brown as adults.
