Feeding during Breeding

DanW Oct 16, 2004 09:57 AM

What is the feeding regimen when breeding boas? Are the females fed at the same rate until near term? How about the males?

Thanks,
Dan

Alot of times a female wont eat while shes gravid or so I have heard! But my 2 large females that are gravid do I offer them a small rat about every 2 weeks an they do take it!Now their has been a time that they have ignored the meal but when the next 2 weeks pass,I still offer them the small rat to be on the safe side an they have taken it!So the way I look at it is if they take it cool it will be that much easier on them when it comes time for normal feeding after the babies are born!Plus they dont loose that much weight while being gravid!Just my 3 cents! Thanks Eric![Hypoboa]
