Gravid, not Gravid? Her orange has become very pale almost none at all she is still plump but she always has been, no signs of eggs so any ideas??? I'm at a lost, she eats great acts normal so I'm really not all that concerned just confused. Let Me know...

Well, maybe they did not mate, you say shes looks alittle chucky but always has, if she had been gravid she would have looked bigger than normal. And if she was gravid, aand never layed maybe she reabsorbed her eggs ! You saw her did she ever get noticeably bigger ? All I know is mine did lay eggs over 3 weeks ago and her orange is just about faded away, while she was gravid and after till now she was very orange ! Eve

Well maybe I thought she just got bigger cause she displayed the colors. You know it just helped me believe she did, and I seriosly did think she got bigger but what is this about reosorbing eggs? THX Eve!

Did the colors just appear or has she had the faint colors for awhile? Mine usually get a faint color just before the full on gravid colors kick in. I'm not an expert but I have always thought that my females got the faint colors and once the male mated with her, that's when the gravid colors brighten up.
