introducing a new tegu...questions...

wusstig Oct 16, 2004 02:12 PM

Hello all-
I have a male Arg. Black & White that is a little over a year old and is about 3 feet in length. I would like to introduce another tegu in his enclosure. Has anyone had any problems introducing a new tegu? He is very docile, never bitten me, and is currently in a 6' x 3' x 2' enclosure. I assume I would need to introduce a female of similar size, but has anyone tried hatchlings with an adult?

Also, I never feed live prey (except for the occasional superworms).

Thanks for the tips!!!

I would venture to say that a hatchling would turn into a very expensive lunch for your adult. My female is considerably smaller than my male, but they were raised together from hatchlngs.
