mr moisture

skater2337 Oct 16, 2004 03:44 PM

im thinkin about getting a mr moisture but i thought id get some personal experiance first. the rainmaker was a little bit too much and ive heard bad things about the habba mist.

whats the difference between the elbow and t shaped nozzles for the mr. moisture?

i remember reading on another post the rainmaker nozzles would work as well if not better. would you reccomend this?

from personal experiance was the mr. moisture noisy?

overall are you happy with it and would you reccomend it.

anything else i should know?

sorry for all the questions but i wanted to make sure that over a hundred dollers will be worth it.

I run a Mr. Moisture pump, timer and reivoir through rainmaker tube, fittings and Nozzels. I first bought the Mr. Moisture and it came with only one Nozzel. I wanted to expand it to 2 Nozzels and found that the guys who make the Rainmaker sell the parts seperatly for decent prices. I ended up buying 2 rainmaker nozzels, fittings and tubing for like 18 bucks. The system runs 50% quiter with the rainmaker parts than it did with the Mr. Moisture parts.

The "T" nozzel is only used if you are going to run more than one nozzel it lets you add more tube on after the nozzel (T shape) the "L" nozzel is if you are going to run only one nozzel or for the end of the line. The "L" shape makes it so no more tube can be added after it.

A good misting system is essential for chameleons and unless you are home every three hours or so to mist by hand a Mr. Moisture or Rainmaker is needed.

I hear the pump only lasts a couple years or so. Used might not be a good option. Here are some pics of the setup I run.

Oh I also vecro the pump to the resivoir this cuts out alot of the noise.
