These pics are awful, but I fully blame the sun and not myself... there were ZERO clouds in Central Florida today so all I could get was full sunlight pics and that just really messed up these pics. Only consistantly shaded area at my house has some recurring fire ants and I, understandably - right?, didn't want to mess w/ that area of the yard. I could have used tree shade, but I've found that it messes up the pics more than it helps them b/c of the uneven shading... Anyway, enough excuses. Here they are...

They both lighten and darken tremendously and at a whim. When I initially checked on them. The light one was SUPER light and the dark one was so black I could barely make out the pattern. By the time I was able to set up my camera outside and get them out there and stationary, they had both changed to what you see in the pics... :-/

The dark one (at that time, who knows now?... )

I should be able to get better pics some day soon when it's not so bright outside...

but to me, those are great pics! I also love the coloring on the boas. The more you look at them, the more shades and hues you can see. What a nice pair!

Thanks Linda! And yes, that's what I LOVE about the NICS, they're EVER-changing and even a snapshot reveals numerous colors and shades to the careful observer (such as yourself! )
