hi...my name is chase and i live i live in Texas...for years i have taken care of many ball pythons and i feel that they have the best animals ive ever cared for......But recently i have gone outside the lines and thought about getting other snakes...(probably pythons)...when i found BSTPs i thought they were perfect...and even though i have been reseacjing for months now i can not place it on me that i am ready so if anyone has had these guys before please write back and let me know some things adn experience that you have had with BSTPs. ANY INFORMATION IS APPERCIATED EVEN IF ITS BASIC...Tnak you

for people with succesful caring of these guys could you please send me a pic of an adult malt BSTP and if you knoe of any that have seriously gone over the average limit of size.

what is the smallest catagory of bloods...i mean the catagory that has the smallest size limit.... thank you

Theres a ton of info on here, just go through the topics and read the stuff. The NERD website has some great info as well. and Blacks are actually the smallest of the foreknown curtis grouping.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RUDDNEST...oh and DUH i read that "friggin boards" and the NERD site but that dosent mean its true...its accurate but not completly true iwas asking if anyone experienced speciimens that reached over the limit...SO THANK YOU, GEEZ.

LOL..."doesn't mean it's true?" Come on, we list averages, not exceptions, so that people have a general idea of what to expect. Sure, there are exceptions to every rule...but getting uppity about it isn't going to get you pics of them.

Let's leave the drama to the ball python & boa folks.

LOTS of blood owners are responsible - you'd be amazed at the number of folks on this forum who are truly just in it for the critters. Beyond cool!!!!

What you're probably not aware of is the fact that there's been an influx of impulse-buy type questions in here lately. You know, the "buy first, ask questions later, and the snake usually suffers for it in the mean time" variety. NOT accusing you of doing so, but you can certainly imagine how a group of dedicated blood fans would be a bit gun shy, eh?

i am taking it easy but the funnny thing is that im doing this reasearch for a project that iwas doing for school and im behind but im keeping my pace to insure i am ready for the snake when i do decide to engage in that relationship. And thanx for the conversation..

..I dont know exactly what I said that was rude, just trying to point you in the right direction for info. There are probably a minimum of 5 new posts a week where people just post and say "hey give me some info on bloods!". So, go check one of them out, sometimes people come in with lots of good info. I've been pretty busy lately and dont really have time to go search through and cut and paste a million posts together and give you every single piece of relative info..sorry, much less the other 4 people that will do it after you in the next few days. If you have some specific questions feel free to post a topic.. but I thought I answered the only specific question you had being what the smallest of the blood/short tail group was, and then tried to advise you where to search for more info. Dont know what you meant by your statment about info being true or whatever... you would assume if someone reccomends info then.. it would be the true kind? Now you get all defensive and stuff... not a good way to start out making friends here bub. CALM DOWN

the boa forum is soo bad.They actually hate each other there.You really have to watch what you say cause there are a number of people just waiting to jump all over your post.Don't mention JUNGLES whatever you do.That was the latest heated debate.I'm glad that I could go to this forum and be relaxed,it's like a SAFE ZONE.
