My male veiled is about 8 months old and only like 5 inches long. I was under the impression that they get to full size at about 8 months. Is he not growing, or just growing slow or what?

Forgot to say that I have always given him a good calcium supplement and he has had good lighting and all that good stuff. I'm hoping he's just a slow-grower, and not something else...

are you sure that is how old he is. I thought my cham was 8 months and he also was only 5 inches. when i went online to the store i bought him at I found i purchased him when he was about 1 month old not 3.

I bought him from a pet store 6 months ago, so 8 months is my guess at his age. He was just a baby then, so I'm guessing he is about 7 or 8 months.

same thing happened to me on only one animal. get him natural sunlight. even if its only 10 minutes worth everyday. when i gave mine natural sunlight he grew from 5-8.5 inches in 2 weeks

woah 5 to 8.5! thats alot of growth in 2 weeks. did 10 min a day make that much of a difference? just curious.

no he got about 3-4 hours of real light a day compared to 0 before i moved.
