I need help finding a picture

vincentk11 Oct 16, 2004 09:26 PM

Hello,
I am working on doing a presentation on unique animal defenses and wanted to discuss the Tomato Frog or perhaps a bufo. I looked everywhere on the web and could not find a picture of the frog secreting its sticky toxin. I was wondering if anyone can help me find a picture/photo of this, or any frog or toad secreting from its skin.
Thank you.

Our tomato is now passed away, but even when he secreted, it was more of a glittery shine on his back than anything else, where as our true bufos would normally produce a very visible white substance on their backs.

We have a gallery of pictures on our site dedicated to the memory of our little tomato frog Pumpkin. You are free to use any pictures of him you would like as long as you credit toadilytoads.com as the source. We have many galleries on the site and more coming.

You might also want to email Carole at frogdaze.com and see if she can add anything to what I've said about tomato frogs because she'd been keeping them longer and last I heard has one now.

If you need help or info, feel free to email me directly:

Good luck on your report. I'd be interested in reading it when you're done.
