Egg producing machine

davidv Jun 28, 2003 03:27 PM

How do I stop my corn from laying eggs? My first time-bred snow laid May 9th 16 fertile eggs. Young have hatched and are doing great. Yesterday she laid 8 eggs very small in size. I did not place a male with her to try to double clutch. 3 of the egg look like they could be fertile the others are so small and yellow I am sure they are slugs. Will this kind of egg production continue?

Hi,just curious as to what temp. setting you had your 1st clutch on.I'm interested to know because they hatched pretty early right around 49 days,if I counted right.Congratulations.I'm still waiting for my 1st clutch to hatch, they were laid May 11.I got the temp set at 82-84 deg F.I'm hoping they will hatch in next 2 weeks. Thanks for the info.
