of most species, as males are territorial. It works for a while until breeding season, then you begin to have problems.

I keep desert lizards, as well as others, and rule of thumb usually is one male. I have a couple together, but will have to seperated once they are introduced to the girls.

It just creates a very stressful environment!

Maybe others can suggest something!

WEll, if you have a lot of money, sungazers can be kept in larger numbers. THey often have large colonies. The problem is, not too many people know about them, and they are SOOOOOOOOOOO expensive! WIth a different species of lizards, like leopard geckos, Maybe you could keep one male with several females. thought i'd throw it out there!

oh i just remembered.speaking of sungazers, amrmadillo lizards can be kept in large collinies.a guy i know once kept his out side in a large metal ring in a colony of about 15 lizards.he put down a bunch of sand over the grass and dirt that was origanally their and dug them some burrows but unfortunately they did not last through the winter here.the scientific name for the species is corylus tropidosternum.ive also kept this species but not outside.they definetly are communal.also they are live bearing.hope this helps
