Can the two be housed together safely? Thanks! Brooks
From what I understand, they are nearly identical in husbandry and looks. The main difference in looks in there tail and bit of size. I have read that they have been successfully kept together and are quite tolerable of eachother. Just make sure there is a lot of room so they have their own space.

They are somewhat similar in husbandry. The U. ebenaui come from northern Madagascar where it is quite a bit cooler at times. The two species only overlap in a small area in Central Eastern area in a National Park. I forgot the name. Their size is a bit different. The ebenaui are a bit bigger. This could result in domination for food over the phantasticus. You also wouldn't want hybridized breeding to occur. That's just not natural really. I would recommend against putting two species of anything together really. Ever seen a zoo put competing predatory species together without mega space? Not too often.
