Just came home from vacation and my female laid her eggs outside of the laying box. She laid them outside of the box on the floor of the vision cage. They couldn't have been there for more than 3 days. She was coiled around them just off the heat source, I'm not sure what temp they were because I got them out as quickly as possible but they felt extremely warm. The female had plenty of temp choices where she could lay them because she is in a 4ft vision cage, so I'm hoping that she made the right choice. The other thing is they are pretty mishapen, I'm used to lots of colubrid clutches and they usually are well formed, but these are not good full ovals, but I candled them and they are definitely fertile. It was a clutch of 5, 4 fertile and 1 slug. If these were colubrid eggs, from my experience I think they would make it, but this is my first clutch of BP eggs, so I'm not sure how delicate they are. What do you think the chances of them hatching are?
