i have two golden tegus. today i adopted a 1 year old male bearded dragon called "eddie".
the owner could no longer look after him so after a 550 mile round trip i got him. he came with a custom built 4ftx4ftx2ft viv, lighting, heating etc. he is brill. he sits on my shoulder and licks my face all the time.
he never tasted a pinkie before but tonight he had 2. he never ate a loctus either but ate 6 aswell. from what i can gather he only ate crickets and a bit of greens. the owner said he was lazy and i would have to put his food in a jar and put it to his face so he would eat. well i put the loctus in the viv not the jar and it was "oh my god!!" look at him go he was running round like a mad man. so i thought right i will try him on pinkies he ate 2 and kept licking his branch afterwards.
i don't think he was lazy i think he was board with his diet. imagine eating egg and chips every day for a year!!
