Austins shows make pythons look like killers. His abusive handling and bad information reflects badly on herpers. The general public only know about us from TV images sometimes.
This makes it easy for lawmakers to pass bans on pythons and boas. Write AP and let them know how you feel good or bad.

i do not like the guy either. He is rough both in handling and speech. I must say the black headed python he caught was beautiful though.

And I normally do not use that term in a negative manner..

His first show did not impress me one bit. Grabbing a 5ft wild Gaboon viper by the tail and heaving it up off the ground(both damaging for the snake and potentially lethal for the human doing it).. Grabbing a Vipera cerastes and handling it as if it were a sand boa, claiming that it is completely harmless and its venom is too weak to effect humans. Then gets bit and freaks out! He also got bit by a cobra in the same show, due to his habit of reaching around a hooded cobra and tapping it on the back for fun. The guy is a FRICKEN MORON.. And his anaconda wrestling scene is just sickening.. How this guy made it on the air is beyond me...
