Bambo? and few other q's...

second_hand_rose Jun 28, 2003 04:05 PM

Were going to be moving our Veild Sanchoz into a new cage soon into one of those ready made screen enclosers you can find at every pet store. We havent decided on 65 or 100 gallons, guess we'll have to see what our budget is. (Sanchoz is currently in a 35 gallon tank) Back to my question though...

We bought some Bambo the other day and were wondering if its safe to put it into the cage with him?? I've looked around on the net but havent been able to find any info on it and would hate to poision the little guy

Also since its a screen enclosure would a humidifier work to keep up the humidity inside it if it was placed just inside or under the cage (screen bottom) but set on a timer??

thanks
Christa

Bamboo is fine to use, but I don't have any experience with humidifiers so I can't help there. Don't use that 'lucky bamboo' that is usually in spirals or come in little individual sticks you put in water, those, I have heard, are toxic.

The humidifier blowing up through the bottom would work fine, except, the screen will make the water collect and drip. As long as you know and expect a puddle..all should be ok.
