A lot of Biaks have a 'natural' high yellow. Some PNG animals have this trait as well. HTH

yes! biaks retain their yellow. my biak is 3 ft and still very yellow. only 10 to 20% green.

Biaks can take several years to complete the ontogenetic color change. I have a 2.5 yr. old biak that is still about 80% yellow, but I doubt he's done with his change. He's roughly 4' long and feeds on small rats.

On the other hand, I have two 2.5 yr. old females from a HY bloodline that I'm confident about with yellow coloration. These two girls were from my first breeding and had completed color change at about 1.5 yrs. From what I've been told, HY lines are quick to change color and are usually done within a few months. Biaks can take 3-5 years to complete the task. We can always hope and pray. lol.
