dried peas

Does anyone feed those dried peas that are cut in half to their uros?I was thinkin about it I looked at em tried one and they are really hard when they aren't cooked.Or should I cook them before serving?

helga could probably eat her weight in peas if i let her and she eats them fresh or dried. they are the first to go whenever i put dried bean mixes in there and the hardness has never stopped her. just remember to give peas in moderation

Well, personally, peas make me want to

But the uros usually love 'em fresh. Dried, however, they really don't seem to care for them any more than the rest of the dry mix. To put it another way, they like all the dry mix, and the peas not more or less. They are hard, but the uro jaws are stronger than most people think. Rarely a problem.
