hey man what do you know about homoroselaps species?????
arent they mole vipers????????? i just came across one for sale but it was labeled as a false coral snake but it didn't look like the south american species to me.
got any pic's on them

They are one of the big unknowns. They have some affinity with the Atractaspidae but have also been lumped in with elapids which appears to be where they'll sit (this week at least). Where was this for sale and how much? I might be interested in snagging it for my research.

hmmmmmmmmmm interesting i might get this little fellow i dont know yet,it's just a local pet store here were i live has one.
they get some odd stuff from time to time.

I've seen them for sale as 'Harlequin snakes' sometimes, but this can also refer to a few other kinds of snakes.

I wish people wouldn't call things a false 'something that it sorta looks like but lives on a different continent from' when they don't know what something is. Reminds me of a guy calling Homalopsis buccata 'false andacondas' when they would have trouble being more different. Well, and I guess the term 'false water cobra' is misleading too. Pah.

lol, that's why I refer to hydrodynastes as "smooth snakes" which is a local common name (as I understand it).
