tegu not eating

nogard Oct 17, 2004 11:09 PM

Hey all just wanted to know if this is normal, I have had my arg black and white for two months now, and he was a bottomless pit, always eating, now he just hides, and when offered food he refuses then digs down, is he trying to hibernate? he is about 14 inches, in excellent health and has good weight his temp is at 88 and basking at 105 and humidity is at 65- 80% with a moist hide box. So any thoughts you can provide would be greatly appreciated, I have also read that during the first few months they may be on and off during feeding, if anyone can verify this please let me know.

thanks

tony butler
