NERVOUS BLOODS

metallicsilver01 Oct 18, 2004 01:00 AM

HELLO, I HAVE A PAIR OF 03 RED BLOOD PYTHONS AND THEY SEEM TO GET VERY NERVOUS OFTEN. I CAN TELL THAT THEY ARE NERVOUS BECAUSE THEY START TO BREATH DEEPLY AND QUICKLY. I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS JUST MY BLOODS THAT DO THIS. ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS,
EDDIE

Hey there
First off, can ya do us a favor and turn off the Caps Lock? No need to shout!

For lack of a better way to put this, Bloods are "Huff and Puff" snakes. Those quick deep breaths are just what they do. Some moreso than others, but in general, those "football-player-hyped-up-for-a-game" breaths are normal. Now if there's any wheezing..that's a different story

Out of curiousity, how long have you had the pair? I know you might be worried about their breathing habits, but just let them settle. Lets us know if you have a question about anything else

And danced the sky on laugher-silvered wings...
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence"
