Juveniles are well suited for an enclosure of that size. Adults should be housed (ideally) in a larger container. Most literature says at least a 40-gallon terrarium.

My MBK has a 60-gallon vivarium, with temperature gradient at each end, and 4 major hiding spots. (At least 14 rock or wood objects.) With sand substrate, the enclosure resembles the Sonoran Desert, complete with artifiical Ocotillo and Cholla cactus plants.

I am a very UNCOMMON "owner". I don't regard them as shiny, collectible items, having a need to collect yet more & more.

I regard my snake as an animal companion, not a pet. And I make every effort to provide as natural of a setup & diet as possible. I feed live, offer a variety.

My snakes thrive as a result, and I can honestly say that I would want to be treated the same way if I were someone's "pet" snake. Hope this information is useful.

Yea i kinda agree. I was looking at my 20 L today that currently houses my 03 Easter king and it does look kinda small...I guess ill get something a bit bigger for my MBK.

BTW: You said you keep your MBK on sand?? I though this was bad? I heard that the sand can get underneath the scales and cause infection...I heard this from a reliable source. I would love to switch over to sand but i dont wanna do anything that will hurt my snakes... What kind of sand do you use excatly?
