Hypoconfused

Ghosts are called Hypos. Burgundies are called Burgundy Hypos. Does this mean that a Burgundy is a Ghost? Or is there a difference between a Ghost and a Hypo?

Having a Hypo Headache,

Hypos is the right name for it...it is mistakenly called ghost...for some reason?....
The Burgandy Hypo is just another line of hypo...just like orange, yellow, green, butterscotch, etc.....

So are all Burgundys also Ghosts? (This is assuming that the Burgundy and the Burgundy Hypo is the same thing.)

There are alot of unproven Burgandies....but there are a few proven lines....and basically they are the same thing...just like Pastel and Jungle Pastel...

I'm not so sure the Burgundies are just another line of "Ghost".

Have the Burgundies that proved all been recessive or have some been dominant types?

I think most and perhaps all of what we call ghost (I agree, the choice of name was unfortunate since it's a combo in other species) are compatible with each other (i.e. yellow vs. green vs. orange, etc.) and I suspect that even the proven Burgundies will not be compatible with the ghosts.

I think Graziani's hypo line is not compatable with others, and I if I remember correctly, NERD also has a line of hypo's that are not compatable with, at least most other lines. Not sure, but I think I read this somewhere.

Do these hypo burgundys shed clear like other hypos ?

Also,i have seen some refer to them as a burgundy axanthic.
This is where i am stuck on the burgundy matter.

From what I know of they do...but I don't own any so I can't be sure....

Also yes Graziani's line of hypo is not compatible with other lines and I'm sure there are more....

Are you just going by the time a few years ago when he bred a bunch of imported ghosts and got mostly normals?

I suspect that some of the imported animals are not genetic ghosts, perhaps there are non genetic things that can cause a ghost like appearance. Are you aware of a proven line of ghosts (Graziani or anyone else’s) not producing ghosts with another proven line? I would suspect that the ghosts he has recently produced are perhaps from the few that turned out to be genetic and they will be compatible with other proven genetic lines.
