TO Cold out side for leps???

im up at college in the mountians of PA saint francis. and i walked out side and say a lep gecko running aorund on the bricks and a girl standing there watching her. they were both pretty cute. i told her to take her inside it is way to cold for her. and she said that the owner, who she is watching it for, told her to take it outside and walk it. i told her no take it in it is way to cold for it deffintly on the cold brick walkway..... was i right? its only like 39 F. did i do the right thing?

Yes it is without a doubt too cold outside for leos. We are in PA as well, but not the mountains. My son wanted me to take one of our leos to school to show off and I told him no because I thought it was to cold outside for the leo. So yes you were right.

Ask them why they have to have a heat source for the cage if 39F isn't too cold for them. I should drive up there, it's not too far for me.

Maybe I'm just paranoid.... but none of my reptiles go outside unless it is 75 and sunny.... I don't even like taking out the iguana in temps less than 80. And here in wisconsin, that's like 1, maybe 2, months out of the year. I would NEVER take any cold blooded reptile outside in 39 degress... unless transporting in heated containers.
