Wow, these are some beautiful snakes! Great score.

JETZEN Oct 18, 2004 04:35 PM

Thanks fliptop, i havn't seen any of your pics lately?

fliptop Oct 20, 2004 04:13 PM

Hey JETZEN,

It's only because I have just 3 kingsnakes, two of which were seen here. I'm also moving again, but will try to get some photos up when things settle down.

Best,

fliptop

Those are gorgeous! What kind of king/morph is that called?

JETZEN Oct 19, 2004 06:51 AM

They were sold to me as red and black brooks. But if they were named something else I would of bought them anyway.

metalpest Oct 19, 2004 02:34 PM

Yes I saw those in the classified but I havent seen any other red and black brooks, I dont like the other brooks that Ive seen. So I was just wondering if they were something else or some kind of morph so that I can pick them up at a later date.

JETZEN Oct 19, 2004 03:05 PM

There is controversy about these girls being true brooksi. A few very knowlegeble experts claim that actualy they are goini or goini-X-brooksi? I did a background check and the producer claims they are 100% pure brooks. The producer also has a super good reputation for honesty, go figure? Keep following the classifieds I'm sure there are more.
These are great snakes they took to eating in my hand in only 2 days, lol!. thanks

Brandon Osborne Oct 19, 2004 05:30 PM

Are you at liberty to say who the person that originally produced them is? I've seen lots of "goini" that look identical to those, but never a SINGLE brooksi. It's clearly obvious to anyone who knows, they are not brooksi.....not trying to be an ass.

Well Ill keep my eye out for both. I hope to get some as beautiful as those some day!

snakecellar Oct 20, 2004 12:52 AM

Please let people know who the breeder is. There is only a few breeders in Las Vegas, and if the animals are misrepresented then you will make all of Las Vegas Breeders look bad by putting a blanket statement out there.

Thank you, Wayne Sanders

metalpest Oct 20, 2004 12:58 AM

I saw them for sale by exotic pets in the classified, I assume that is where he got them. These were some of the best Ive seen them offer.

JETZEN Oct 20, 2004 04:17 AM

BINGO! And nobody is going to change my mind about Ken and Tiffany! I would have bought these animals even if they were called BLACK BLOTCHED SCARLET GETULA!,lol.

Tad Fitzgerald Oct 20, 2004 09:43 AM

It looks to me like Jetzen didn't mean any harm to "Las Vegas breeders", just attempting to get some extra attention by using the words "Las Vegas & Girls" in the subject line. I do agree with Wayne that blanket statements especially about Las Vegas have the potencial of hurting reputable breeders/dealers in our town.

As far as the snakes in question, they certainly look like a goini/brooksi cross to me. I have known Ken for over a decade and he would never knowingly misrepresent what he sells, could just be an honest mistake. If anyone would like like to talk with him about it email me and I'll give you his phone #.

Nice snakes!

Thanks Tad, True i did ham it up a bit about these 0.1's but i would never intentionaly try to harm a honest breeder/dealer in Vegas or anywhere else. thanks again.- John

bluerosy Oct 18, 2004 11:21 PM

but the guy advertised them as brooks kings when they are obviously a goini X brooksi. I would have bought them myself if the guy had just been honest. Something kinda turns me off when someone has nice snakes and they try to make them something else. Good score though and beautiful snakes. I am envious!

Here is a hypo brooksi X goini:

JETZEN Oct 19, 2004 07:00 AM

Thanks, I am super happy with their feeding response! It'll be interesting to see what they look like in a year.

bluerosy Oct 19, 2004 11:50 AM

I would be interested in what they look like in a year to.

I will probably be kicking myself for not taking them before you.

JETZEN Oct 19, 2004 02:41 PM

I'm sure they have more. The dad is a red & black the mom is an almost patternless. With your knowhow you could do an interesting project.
