Hi ZPD--
First, do you have a first name? If not that's cool! I have a male, 2.5-3 yrs. old whose tail looks exactly like yours. His head looks like yours also. The neck area on mine has even less dark coloration than yours. I got him from John Cherry as a yellow hypo. When compared to adult Stillwater Hypos he is much more "hypo like" than the Stillwaters are. If you didn't see the eyes of my male you would swear it's an Amel. Now, why don't you want to be told yours is a Hypo???? BTW--yours is an awesome snake . I sure wish I could see the whole snake! Thanks for the pictures!

Sorry, when flipped it my photo hosting site said it was too big, weird. I bought it as a T positive, everyone says "oh that's actually a hypo". Drives me nuts...We will see when I breed her next year to my friends T positive male. I am no expert on genes or alleles or melanins but it sure looks different to any hypo I have seen. I wish someone would show me their T positive bulls so I could compare. Thanks for the compliments.

Wow!!! That could be a litter mate of my male, they look so much alike! Ignorant doesn't even come close when describing how challenged in the area of genetics I am!!! I tried to follow discussions of T etc., with regard to Retics and Boas!! The Barkers always sound so neat but they lost me! I finally gave up. I just think they are great looking snakes! More people comment on my male than any other critter I have. I have not been able to find a female so I am going to breed him to an outstanding Hypo Whiteside (Ghost) I have and see what happens. Thanks for posting the Pic!!!

I came across this photo on Jason Nelsons' site (Envy Reptiles). This is basically the same as my snake, just a little brighter yellow base color. He calls these Rusty or Hypo, his are sonorans gophers not bulls. Looks alot different that the "hypo" sonorans he has on his site just below these pics, confusing!

P.S. I hope it's ok to post a link to his site.

Yeah, I've seen that Pic before. Looks just like mine also. But I can't believe mine is a Sonoran as it grew so big so fast. Nothing like my Sonorans. The head is more typical of a Bull, but hey, who knows!!!

Im sure ours are bulls, I was just thinking the morph aspect was pretty much identical, just a different type of pituophis.Like someone said, all we need to know is that it's a pretty snake!

Here's a pic I post all the time. I wish i never got rid of these two (albino sonorans). You can see adult pics of them now at Homegrown Herps, I sold them to Jim a few years ago. I think sonorans are my favorite albino pituophis.
