Hides, elevated basking, and price ranges

boidsntegus Oct 18, 2004 08:26 PM

I have been prowling this site for a bit and have a couple of questions. I don't see a lot of cages with hiding places for people's bearded dragons (maybe I just missed them). Do they not need a secure hide box to feel safe? Also, I have read they like to bask elevated at an angle? Is this true or do they prefer to lay flat on the ground when basking? Lastly, what would be considered a fair price for one of the following: Snow/Ice, GoldxRed cross, Pure Gold, or Citrus/Green?

Hey Bill,

I'll start with the prices, those are some higher end dragons so depending on who you get them from and the quality of the particular dragon I'd say $100-$350 on each of those with the occasional super nice one maybe going as high as $500. As for the other questions, yes and no to each it depends on your circumstances. Usually there are a lot of breeders here and they tend to run cages more simplified than a pet owner (easier to clean).
