leos not eating well

kk Oct 18, 2004 10:14 PM

Hello everyone, I am having some troubles getting three of my leos to eat, two small ones that are in a 10 gallon are barely eating (one is already pretty skinny), and I have tried feeding them mealworms, waxworms, and crickets. I even got a clear dish to place the crix and mealworms in but still they do not eat them, does anyone have any suggestions? I also have a full grown leo in a 55 gallon, there are crix running right in front of his face, and yet he does not eat them, but if i take a superworm, he gobbles the thing right up, and then ill try giving him more crix and he still wont eat them. Can any one help me with that. I also got a clear dish for him too, to put crix in, but he just passes it up. If any one could help me on these two problems that would be great.

check if you;re temps are high enough, malfunctioning or not warm enough heat pads can hinder digestion.
For the little ones try seperating them, for your other leo, some are just bloody picky.

good luck oh and try and get your hands on some butterworms, you never know

The temps are around 89, and around night time it goes down to around 78 to 80, I'll try those other things though.

Thanks
