i buy about 10 to 15 crix a week for my anoles.(i know this is a leo formun but the anole one hasnt moved in a few days. plus u guys are the best:-D ) and this is the second time that a hurd of ants have attacked my crix and killed them. any idea on why. i keep them in a small plastic kritter cage. and put a potato in. i cant keep feeding these damn ants my crickets. please any advise?

Try smearing a ring of vaseline around the outside of the top of the container, it may deter the ants, it works for roaches that climb. Or try putting a bowl of sugar next to the cage, they might like that better.

Get a coffee can and clean it out good to get the strong odar out. Then drill tiny holes into the lid. and WHALA you got yourself a perfectly good anti-ant cricket container.

lol wish it was that easy...these ants are ablout the size of this - acully thats a good esstamit. so tiny little holes wont due.and these things cmome in mass numbers ... there threw out my whole dorm hall.

Try putting them in a coffee container or whatever they are in now, then placing the container in a pan of water. Ants cant swim.

no but they can live under water for 14 days (i think thats what the commercial said) meaning they can walk across it.
