This is going to be electric. 6 weeks and this much red!?!? Had to share with everyone. Too bad for the dalmation spots. I am still looking for that screaming red with no dots.

NICE! Got the bicolor thing going on and for my tastes I love the spots!
I don't mean to rain on your parade but its nice but that is nothing spectacular. I will post a pick of my baby the same age and show you what a Super Red looks like. It was hatched 9-3-04. I will post it later today.
Here is my Red Baby, it hatched 9-3-04, tell me what you think.

I feel very stupid, I cannot get the picture to show up. Anyone have any clues as to what I should do to get it.
Upload it to the photo gallery. Then from there you can go to the
forrum and choose to post it. Yeah and give my red crested a look ( high end trio) (red dalmation & Chocolate harlyquin)it was only about 3 months old when I took the pic. I think
Eli
Alright finally figured this stuff out. Here is my Red Crested, keep in mind this little guy is just over 1 month old. Tell me what you think...

Oh, you didnt rain on my parade. That is nice but that is going to be a dark red almost like a rasberry red. I dont like them as much. I like the neon electric red. When they end up like that they tend to be more of a copper color earlier on. I have like that as well but it will be much darker of a red then the one I posted in the begining of the thread.
Let me know what you think of this one... but I can tell you the first one I showed you, will look way better at 6 months
Eric

That one is not true red, they call it salmon or almost pink. The first one will be the same way just more pink. I like the deep true red, the maroon color, in my opinion is much nicer. But none the less I do like yours also, they just have a more salmon color.
Actually The first one wont be salmon. It will be the neon electric red I have produced enough to know. the second one came from my salmon and heres a pic. The Maroons are nice just to me they look like they were in dirt lol meaning they arent as true a red.
Heres my salmon female.

Is neon electric red to you pink? I'm just curious because when I think of Red, I think of stop sign red.
No I mean BRIGHT red not pink. I dont have any pics of my females and I dont have my camera here.
Try this site. Under the crested page youll see pretty much what my pair looks like.

The link below, to me is what I consider bright red:

I wasn't very impressed with those ones on the exoticparrot page and I wouldn't consider them neon red.
Hahahaha, sorry, forgot to tell you to scroll down to the middle of the page and take a look at Ruddy.
nice cresteds guys, what line or breeders did you'll get your reds from?
thanks
vaughn
Thanks Vaughn.
Most of mine are from Dragons Den.
I have a few that I have bred out to get more red but I am a few generations behind those 2 and at best I have is Salmon from my own lines.
thats what I mean by neon or electric red. The BRIGHT red not the maroon.
And I know of Loren's red male. I have a red from them and a few from Kevin Dunne of Dragons Den.
Not impressed with thse red ones? Those are some of the redest ive seen along with Ruddy.
Anyway, you like the darker I like the brighter more electic reds. No big deal.
How is old that one in the pic you posted? It looks almost like a hatchling.
Eric
Its just over 1 month old. Yeah I agree with you, that Ruddy one from sundial is unreal. I really like those colors.
