my boa recently suffered a first degree burn(hope so). he developed a bulk the size of a thumbnail under his skin 5 days ago that is filled with liquid under his skin, (a blister?)the skin is not transparent there are scales. Should I puncture? I read that if it is a blister it is not recommended because of risk of infection but I am not sure if to wait.

OK, first off im not a vet. Me I would open it up stick it with a sterile pin. ME. Then you have to keep it clean. Paper as bedding. Peroxide to clean it. Neosporine it. Keep up on it. Check it daily. After a week if it is not looking better....VET. Just my 2cents and please take it with a grain of salt.....goes better that way. I had a snake with a blister and this worked for me. Hope this helps or, gets you in the right direction.
