Mealworm dish

fun5oh Oct 19, 2004 01:05 AM

I bought one of the exo-terra mealworm dishes, because my mealworms kept escaping from the other feed dish, and after reading posts here, I had visions of coming home to find worms chewing on my baby jungles! Anyhow, one of the girls climbed right inside the bowl with the worms and started eating, now I have fears that they will sleep in there with the worms and the nightmare will continue! Will they? When I came home tonite she was laying in the old food dish with a dead mealworm. Am I overreacting? These are my first Leos, can you tell?
Another question, the one that crawled in the dish ate 6 out of 8 worms in no time, the other baby didn't get in there yet, but she looks like shes ready to shed, grayish color? Is it normal for them not to eat much when they are shedding? They are only a month old.
Thanks in advance,
Robin

I am guessing if the leo was sleeping in the bowl and the mealworm started to bite it, it would wake up and probably move.
