I was reading a few of the old posts down the line a bit and somewhere when I was busy and not looking in on things some of you decided that Hermann was a bad guy? I think many of you are judging Hermann unfairly and with out really knowing him.
Although Hermann is a purest to the 10th degree and does not like the morphing of Boas for the pet trade, he is also a fantastic Herper with an immense amount of knowledge that he is always willing to share.
I have e-mailed back and forth with Hermann for a while now and a whole slew of different subjects, work, snakes, family life… I consider him a friend and comrade in both Hobby and profession. Many here fault him because of his strong views, but few have his convictions. Hermann would never shun you if you needed information or advice on a particular morph and many times he will go out of his way to help.
Many people also seem to forget that English is not his first language and that he does not have the benefit of knowing our (American) etiquette and mannerisms when responding to the posts so some may be lost in the translation. I think many of you should spend some time looking at his website and see the effort and work that has gone into it.
His opinions may offend from time to time, but they are his opinions and they are honest ones. His knowledge and help has always been there for the asking.

There are a great number of very knowledgable,and,staunchly dedicated "locality breeders" that frequent this Forum,Barry Miller,Lee Barrie,Gus Rentfro,Adam Willich,Kevin Barnett,just to name a few off the top of my head...it's interesting to note that you never see any of these people posting negative crap,over,and,over,and,over again!? I'm quite sure there are things they see here,that they either don't care for,or,find disturbing...I think everybody here,whether newbie,or,veteran to this Forum,knows all too well Hermanns opinion...frankly,I'm one of a growing number of people that simply doesn't care anymore what Hermann "doesn't like"! KEEP IT TO YOURSELF,WE GOT IT ALREADY! I'm tired of making excuses for his behavior,and,condoning his unprofessional,immature behavior,for the sole purpose of trying to place himself,his beliefs,and,his intolerence of others endeavors,on some "holier-than-thou","I'm right,and,everyone else is wrong","morally superior" self constructed pedestal! The value of his knowledge is lost in the redundancy of his perpetual b-ll sh-t,even flies aren't interested in it anymore! you know he's waaay off base when someone like Pete Kahl,who never,ever posts here,gets on to let Hermann know what he thinks!...anyway I didn't mean for this to be a "rant",or,a personal attack...I don't hate Hermann,I do value his knowledge,and,I think we all could benefit from his participation,if he could just get it through his head that we don't care anymore what he "doesn't like"!!! learn to deal with it,because you're not going to change it with a bunch of lies,and,negative inuendo! it just makes you,and,others that share your breeding preferences look foolish! I hope my english is plain enough,that it won't get lost in translation????? and,I hope the moderator sees fit to leave it up,it's meant to be constructive,and,I think the Forum could benefit from less hate oriented negativity,there's enough of that B.S. on some of the other boards...this particular one is better than that,and,every single person that chooses to participate makes it so...we are all in this together,the very least we can bring with us is a little respect? but,that's just my opinion....I could be wrong..."R"...

It is not that I hate Hermann either. I am just tired of most of his comments. Most, even if they are a complement.....They are tainted in some way with a negative comment. I understand there is a language barrier. (That and and cultural one) But, Hermann really does seem to command a very good grasp of our language. I don't think the things that he says really are misunderstood by us. They seem perfectly clear to me.

to realize that I can not convert concrete headed morphers. They also can not converse concrete headed Hermann.

But you must not forget that a lot of people don't post here but just read. I even think it's the majority.
These are the people that I want to reach with my thoughts. I am quite satisfied when they think about it and make their own decisions.

They should get the chance to hear (or rather read) something different to that what normally is hyped here.

And I tell you something: You care about what I write. Others care about what I write and even Peter Kahl cares about what I write! Or how do you explain to yourself that he stooped to post here?

I don't think that he is happy about the albino X albino topic. I think he is intelligent and experienced enough to have realized these facts much earlier than I.

Others of my kind has ceased posting their ideas here (for instance one of the guys you mentioned) because they hate getting bashed.

I don't care getting bashed for my ideas and I will not cease speaking my mind. And I can swallow and dish out.

But, believe it or not I respect every single participant here in this forum and I have no bad feelings even when I get harsh replies. (I know that I am asking for it). I slap back and afterwards it's peace again (as far as I am concerned).
