Smuffin Oct 19, 2004 07:14 AM

My beardie is really orande and lavender and yellow but the last couple of days he is dark brown with black stipes underneath. what does this mean? I have been waiting to see if his color comes back but nothing. Any advice will be appreciated.

Beardies often change their color for various reasons (stress, temp., etc.), but dont worry its only temporary, she might stay that way for a lengthy time, and migth be back it her old self by tomarrow. I'd just moniter her temps, and make sure there's nothing that could be stressing her out.

Well I did leave him Sunday for the entire day and I have never done that before. He was real dark when i got back and when i picked him up he lighten up. But evertime he is in his house he has been dark since. He was never like that before. Do you think he is upset with me because i left him or is he sick?

does he appear healthy? (besides the color change) are his stools as often as they normally are, and are the the same consistancy? (not runny)

Is he still acting normal besides the dark coloring? Still eating, pooping, active, etc.

The second day after he turned dark he did not eat. Today he ate alot. But it looks like he is slowly turning back. Not too sure. I put him outside today and he brighten up. But he is dark again. Is this normal?
