Corn snake dry skin ????

I have a 3 mth. old reg corn that his skin on his sides seems dried up? I have tried soaking him and some stuff called vita-spray but it seems nothing is really working well. my friend used to keep him in a tank with a sand substrate could that be the porb??? any help will be appreacited. Thanks

It could be that he is in the sand because corn snakes are supposed to be in a bark substrate. You should change to a bark substrate. They dont require a huge ammount of humidity, but should probably misted 2 or 3 times a week. That is what I do with mine and it doesnt have a problem at all. Try to put a ppicture up so everyone can see the problem.
