Vitamins

bluebug32 Oct 19, 2004 02:27 PM

Hey everyone,

First off, I want to thank everyone for making me aware of the dangers of housing a gecko in a bark/mulch substrate. He's not got pretty tiles in the bottom of his cage. He's one happy gecko and his mom can now sleep a little easier at night too.

One more question...Do I need to be giving him vitamins? I dust crickets with calcium (that contains D3) every other feeding and leave a little dish of it in the tank at all times. I gut load the crickets too. Do I need to dust a vitamin supplement on them too?

As always, thanks for your responses.

Beth

Yes, you need to have a calcium dish in the cage at all times and then you need to dust the food. (which you're doing) Sounds liek you doing good. Make sure your using calcium with out d3 for the dish in the cage.
