Hello, and question of my Eastern King

mattcbiker Oct 19, 2004 02:33 PM

Hello folks, I just became a member again here at Kingsnake for the first time since the late 90's when I first got my kingsnake. I'm not sure but I think the site had just been created when I used to hang around. I recently got a new bullsnake also. I'm from Minnesota and own a 5 yr old corn, 6 yr old E. King, and a female IL Bullsnake that is probably a couple months old or so ... all CB

Is it true that males are generally larger than females in kingsnakes? I have a female E. King, she's about 6 years old now and about 4 feet. I got her as a small holdover yearling. Everyone says she has grown a lot in the last year, it is difficult for me to tell as I had not measured her before, but I agree. What kind of growth rates can I expect from her in these middle ages for her? Thank you for the help. - Matt

PS> I bought my king and corn from a breeder with a website known as the Snake Shed back in 1999, located somewhere in Texas I know. Anybody remember that place or know of the breeder?? I've always been curious of my E. King's locality. thanks

The Snake Shed was in San Angelo, Texas. I don't remember the guy's name (although David Wheeler comes to mind?).

I actually have a pair of easterns that I got from someone else in San Angelo. They are very likely related to yours. My male is probably about 5.5 feet and my female is about 5 feet.
