If I bought a patternless albino male and bred it to a regular patternless female not het for albino what would the results be?
Also if I bred the male to a Rainwater Albino not het for patternless?
What would happen if I bred the male to a patternless het for albino?
And what would happen if I bred the male to a Rainwater albino het for patternless?

What would happen if I bred a regular patternless male to a regular patternless female both non het?
What if male albino with female albino non het?

What if I bred an albino het for patternless to a patternless het for albino?
Thanks a lot. Please do not answer if you have'nt answered the question(s) yourself by breeding yourself maybe if you watched someone do it though.I need to make a print out of it for reference usage.I need specific description! Thanks again for all of your help!

All the babies will be patternless 100% het for albino

Also if I bred the male to a Rainwater Albino not het for patternless?
All the babies will be normal 100% het for albino and patternless

What would happen if I bred the male to a patternless het for albino?
50% of your babies will be patternless albino, the other 50% will be patternless 100% het albino

And what would happen if I bred the male to a Rainwater albino het for patternless?
50% of your babies will be patternless albino, the other 50% will be albino 100% het patternless

What would happen if I bred a regular patternless male to a regular patternless female both non het?
All babies will be patternless

What if male albino with female albino non het?
All babies will be albino

What if I bred an albino het for patternless to a patternless het for albino?
25% of the babies will be patternless albino. 25% will be normal 100% hets for patternless albino, 25% will be patternless 100% for albino, and 25% will be albino 100% het for patternless.

I never did this myself, but I have studied ginetics, I as far as the biological porportions go, I am 100% sure that all my answers are correct. I do not believe in calculating percentages based on personal experience. These are all simple reccesive morphs, it doesnt take a genius to calculate the percentages.

If you plan on seriously breeding your leos you should understand basic genetics. Once you learn the simple stuff it is very easy to predict percentages. I suggest you go to: www.compusmart.ab.ca/kbush/geckogenetics.htm and read the first bullet "terminology & Definitions part 1", and then scroll down under "AUTOSOMAL RECESSIVE MUTATIONS" section and see how it works w/ leos.

It may take you a few reads to understand it but once you do, everything will be a no-brainer. Good luck.

it was either 1 in 16, 1 in 32, or 1 in 40. is it realy as little of a ratio as 1 in 4 (25%)??? so would it be worth paying the extra money to get leucistics and albinos het for PA rather than just regular leucistics and abinos? thanx, and let me know.

iluvblackfrancis Jun 29, 2003 01:28 AM

the 1/16 is for geckos that appear normal and are double het for patternless and albino.
