Can I put coral in with my turtles?

I would like to put coral in my turtle tank for decoration purposes. Do you know if this would affect the health of my turtles?

Coral affects water chemistry immensly. It affects the PH and also makes the water much harder. I dont know what affect this would have on a RES, do a little research and find out what water perimiters they can tolerate!

This would adversely affect the ph. RES prefer more acidic soft water. It is not recommended.
