Listen its a easy thing to insult or comment on peoples grammer , spelling and such things but when it boils down to it why should it make a hill of beans how something is spelled or written in run on sentences? the objective is to gain usefull knowledge to help someone.Hell i myself mispell ALOT of things ... does it mean i cant spell not in the least i spell VERY well( look above i didnt capitolize the I) and dont ever plan on it in a forums based enviroment no need to . I didnt take typing in school and personally the " correct typing posture of the hands on the keyboard just feels as unatural as hell to me .So i type by pecking keys with two fingers and i do it fast & also normally dont look at the screen while doing as my eyes are on the keyboard. Im not a secertary so i could careless how i type. I get the point across I dont capitolize words like I all the time or even names all the time or rarely.I often type run on sentences and such but none the less i dont criticize others for spelling mistakes or grammer mistakes ina forum based enviroment no need to. If you wantto get technical no on should be posting things like NP, IMHO,IMO so on & so on its not grammetically correct to do so . so when you make fun of someones post or reply in the topic with a subject and end it with a NP make sure you know that you yourself are no better then the ones you poke fun at .
The thing with the internet now days is that so many of us short cut and abbreviate words to make typing and IM'ing faster for us and yes maybe its a bad thing to do but i can promise you that its not carried over in my everyday tasks of writing . When people attack or make fun of a person who is new to the forums who ask something that they want to know or need to know the factor is this is the WORLD WIDE WEB thats what WWW stands for right ? so anyone posting could be from a foreign country and english is the hardest language to learn and im sure typing it is no better. Maybe some of the ones typing are americans or this is there "first language" but they choose to right/type as the do .
I dont see anyone jumping on Nick from Boas ark AKA snakemanick ( sorry nick i have seen mispelled words in your posts but it doesnt bother me because i know what you are talking about lol it seems that only people that are not liked or are new get this attack. Bill cagle your good buddy types in ALL CAPS IN EVERY POST BUT YOU DONT JUMP HIS CASE FOR BLINDING PEOPLE WITH ALL CAPS DO YOU ??? DIDNT THINK SO.
So next time before you jump on someones case try to think ... hmm maybe they are not american or use this as a first language , maybe they are a young kid who may not care how they type as long as the message is taken and help is given for a topic they need or husbandry issues they have .
Think of it like this maybe when you jump someones ass for the typing they display maybe just maybe you are casuing more damage then help by making this person feel like they are not welcomed because of there typing skill or grammer useage therfore the real reason they came to the forum to ask that question is overlooked by people who down there ability to punctuate there question and then the animals and possible new keepr suffer from you fun n games not everyone who keeps snakes know every cause & effect of problems they ask about but they ask because they wantto better themselves and the animals they keep. ever thoughtof that before you jump someones ass on it .. try thinking about it ..if the spelling bothers ya its alot easier to not reply to the post then to chastize someone for there spelling someone will answer the question for them in a respectable manner and understand that they are looking to better themselves and animals
