Do wild chuckwallas give any care to eggs once laid? If so, what?

It has been reported that females may guard their nest for a short period after laying in captivity but it is ubcertain if theis happens in the wild and I don't think has ever been reported.
I had 2 females, in the pen, that used to vigorously defend the nesting area/ tunnel entrance-- but I seem to recall it only lasted a couple of weeks. Most of them never showed any interest though.
DVL-- 92-94 F and dry. Not even a hint of snow yet here in Houston Texas!!
