I recently got a wtf and he is obviously a male cause he vocalizes alot and puffs out his throat. I haven't been able to find any type of pattern as to what triggers him to croak. He does it a few times a day and sometimes night. My question is what triggers wtf to want to croak? He lives alone. Thanx!

They all croak in response to different thing. for example, my male likes to croak when ever he hears my hair dryer, i dont know why, and its definatley not a "fear croak"! he also likes the sound of undoing velcro....strange little guy! I think your frog is just responding to some outside noise!

Thanks for the reply. I still haven't figured out exactly what is triggering my wtf croaking but I think he likes the radio.

Mine croaks at 6:04 every morning sharp. Its the oddest thing. I want to find something that makes him croak, because I want to film it.

Mine croaks when he hears my cairn terrier bark to go outside in the morning. He only does it in the morning. My dog has a bark that sounds like a frog.

LOL when I came in hear I was like wow i didnt know you could get away with saying WTF, but apparently it means whites tree frogs hmmmm.....lol

i have 7 WTF's and a lot of times the tv will trigger them , my dog barking, the radio or other noises. Once one starts a few of the others chime in. Its neat and its kinda funny that what triggers them is a commercial noise. I can also get them going by doing a croaking sound.
