2 questions...male veiled's ability to mate twice in a day and should I go for 2 clutches at once.

1. I have two female veilds and if i can, I will mate them on the same day. Do male veileds have the sperm production capacity to fertilize two females in one day? I was planning on giving him an hour- an hour and a half each female.

2. I am a beginning breeder and don't want too much stress going on if and when the eggs hatch. One female lays ~40 egg clutches, the other ~35 eggs (infertile, so add a couple for fertiles). Think this'll be too much? I've taken care of veileds for over a year now and their daily routine is like brishing my teeth before school, I don't even think about it. An extra 45 mins of work per day for a couple of months won't kill me, I could use the motivaiton!

Unless your a commercial breeder, I wouldn't suggest shooting for so many babies at once. If you ever took care of babies before, you'd know that one clutch is already a hell of a load in term of money, and quite a bit of work. These little critters will eat you out of your house!

As for your question about going two times... well.. a male could go twice in one day, but i cant really say i know how effective the fertility rate is.

I agree completely with Brendan. I've got the "Plague of Veileds (as I have come to call it)" going on here right now, and it's not cheap or easy to keep them clean, fed and misted (babies eat alot and sh@t alot). I would breed the bigger of the females and give the other a month or two to break up the hatching pattern. If you can incubate some of them cooler than others, it'll help space them out. Mid 70's will run them about 8-9 months. No reason to have them all at once really. You may even wanna incubate 3 or 4 of them at a higher temp just so you know what to expect when the rest of them follow soon after. Good luck!

I agree with what Tyler said. If you enjoy the first hatching, then you could mate the second girl. If you alternate their breeding and hatching, then you will have babies more often. Maybe you will like this better than having more babies all at once.
